April 27 - May 25*

In this intermediate class we will create two part forms composed of a body/platter and lid (butterdish, garlic keeper, jar ect.) Attention will be given to the introduction of a gallery for a snug fitting lid. We will focus on different shaping techniques and foot methods. Independent project desires are also welcome! More attention will be given to decorating techniques such as paper resist, mishima and sgraffito.
This class is best suited for those who have prior experience throwing.

Classes are small in size (4/5 people) which allows students to accelerate faster with more one on one instruction. The first five weeks will consist of creating and trimming, followed by a glazing and decorating week 6. The course will include 10 lbs of clay and tools. Please note a $50 deposit is required to reserve your spot, the balance of $300 is payable on the first week of class.
*We will schedule a glaze class when after I return mid-June
